Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Local Pharmacy in Durban, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use. You will also engage with patients to provide counseling and support, contributing to better health outcomes and improving health literacy in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel patients regarding their medications and health conditions.
  • Monitor patient medication therapy for efficacy and safety.
  • Document all interactions with patients.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations for dosage adjustments.
  • Provide over-the-counter medication recommendations.
  • Assist in the training of pharmacy interns or technicians.
  • Participate in inventory management and ordering of medications.
  • Ensure proper storage of medications.
  • Collaborate with local health organizations for community outreach.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve billing issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Postgraduate degree is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
