Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will work on various projects focused on environmental impact assessments, pollution control, and sustainable resource management. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design innovative solutions that enhance environmental performance and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee environmental monitoring programs.
• Analyze environmental data and report findings.
• Review and ensure compliance with environmental permits.
• Support renewable energy initiatives and sustainable practices.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental policies.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on sustainable designs.
• Participate in emergency response planning for environmental incidents.
• Drive initiatives for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master’s degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering

Technical Skills

• Environmental Impact Analysis
• Site Remediation

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
