Job Description

We're on the lookout for a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our Cape Town office. You will play a crucial role in evaluating risk and determining policy terms to ensure optimal coverage for our clients. The perfect candidate will have a solid understanding of risk assessment and a knack for attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze clients' risk profiles and determine pricing for policies.
  • Create and maintain relationships with brokers and agents.
  • Review and recommend changes to underwriting guidelines.
  • Assist in case audits and quality control reviews.
  • Stay updated with changes in legislation affecting insurance.
  • Implement best practices in underwriting procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on underwriting techniques.
  • Provide input for underwriting strategy development.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in underwriting
