Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to ensure the highest standard of pharmaceutical care for our clients. You will oversee the medication process from prescription through to dispensation, and provide educational support to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling to patients using a patient-centered approach.
• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
• Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention activities.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance professional skills.
• Support the pharmacist in the preparation of reports and audits.
• Manage pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacy manager.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree
• Registered Pharmacist with the SAPC

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community pharmacy or clinical settings

Technical Skills

• Medication Management
• Knowledge of Drug Interactions

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Team Work

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist
• Pharmacy Practice Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
