Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil design and project management, with the ability to tackle complex engineering challenges while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Work with local authorities for project permits and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Engage in site assessments and provide recommendations.
• Research and implement sustainable engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management

Technical Skills

• Project Management Software
• AutoCAD
• Structural Analysis

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng) licensed
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with GIS software: Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems for modeling and analysis.
