Job Description

As a Bridge Leverman, you will be responsible for operating and controlling a mechanical bridge to ensure the safe passage of vessels. This role demands a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Handle the operation of the mechanical bridge to ensure safe navigation of vessels.
• Collaborate with the bridge team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain logs and documentation as per operational requirements.
• Monitor environmental conditions that may affect bridge operations.
• Ensure that all safety equipment is functional and available for use.

Requirements

Education

• NQF Level 4 Mechanical Qualification

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in bridge operations or related fields
