Job Description

As a Structural Engineer in our Johannesburg office, you'll lead various projects, focusing on creating durable and sustainable structures. This role requires a combination of technical skills and creative thinking to solve engineering challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative structural designs that meet client requirements and are cost-effective.
• Analyze load calculations and provide solutions to engineering challenges.
• Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare budgets and timelines for structural projects.
• Foster and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Evaluate the environmental impact of structural designs and ensure sustainability.
• Conduct training sessions for team members on new tools and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• SolidWorks

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
• Chartered Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in advanced computational tools: Skills in using software like ANSYS or similar for advanced simulations.
• Experience with precast concrete design: Familiarity with design practices for precast concrete structures.
