Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping team in our Cape Town establishment. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, while also managing staff and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and staff assignments.
• Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations in cleaning practices.
• Prepare reports on housekeeping activities and employee performance.
• Assist in managing budgets for cleaning supplies and labor.
• Work closely with management to address guest feedback.
• Cultivate a team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Hospitality Management preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in hotel housekeeping, with supervisory experience

Technical Skills

• Inventory management
• Quality assurance

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Problem-solving

Advantageous

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations: Understanding of relevant health and safety standards in hospitality.
• Fluency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in more than one language, advantageous for guest interactions.
