Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automotive repair and maintenance, along with the ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs effectively. You will work with various vehicle models and be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicle systems and components to identify problems.
• Provide quality service in a timely manner.
• Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle's performance post-repair.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure vehicles meet dealership standards.
• Stay informed on automotive technologies and repair methodologies.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements and issues.
• Assist in the management of workshop inventory and supplies.
• Foster a positive work environment by collaborating effectively.

Requirements

Education

• N3 Certificate or equivalent
• Trade Test Certificate in Automotive Engineering

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a workshop environment

Technical Skills

• Engine Rebuilding
• Transmission Repair

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Driver's Assistance Systems Certification
• Certificate in Electrical Systems for Automotive Technicians

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• ASE Certification in Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning: Specialized knowledge in HVAC systems for vehicles.
• Familiarity with computer diagnostics tools: Experience with automotive diagnostic software and tools.
