Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Adaptive Skills Educator who will play a key role in helping students with adaptive skills needs develop essential life skills. This position involves creating individualized learning programs and providing tailored support to enhance student independence and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective individual educational plans (IEPs).
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Utilize assistive technology and specialized resources to support learning.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Engage in continuous assessment and reflection to improve teaching practices.
• Support students in their daily routines and transitions.
• Promote self-advocacy skills in students.
• Utilize community resources to enhance student opportunities.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education or related field

Experience

• Experience in behavior management and applied behavior analysis (ABA) is advantageous.

Languages

• English: Fluent
