Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Insurance Actuary to join our team in Durban. The candidate will leverage their analytical abilities to assess risk, create models, and provide insights that influence business decisions in our insurance operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of current risk management strategies.
• Communicate actuarial results and implications to stakeholders.
• Develop forecast models to project future claim trends.
• Coordinate with IT to enhance data analytics capabilities.
• Review and validate actuarial assumptions used in pricing.
• Participate in training and mentoring junior actuarial staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics
• Completed actuarial exams up to associate level

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in the insurance industry
