Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide psychological assessments, conduct therapy sessions, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. You will play a crucial role in improving mental health and well-being, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret psychological tests.
• Provide therapeutic support and guidance in individual and group settings.
• Consult with educational and social services regarding client needs.
• Participate in training and supervision of interns and other staff.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs at community forums.
• Develop resources for clients and their families.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology

Experience

• 4+ years of post-graduate clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Conflict Resolution
• Cultural Competence

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• Mental Health First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to provide services in both languages.
• Experience in group therapy facilitation: Proven track record in leading group therapy sessions.
