Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Designer to join our team. As an Instrument Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing instrumentation solutions for various projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of instrument design principles and be proficient in relevant software platforms and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed instrumentation designs and specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Implement design improvements based on client feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
  • Train junior engineers and provide assistance in their development.
  • Review project proposals for feasibility and provide insights.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source appropriate instruments.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate instrumentation with overall systems.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or similar
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in instrument design and development
