Conveyor Operators and Tenders

Job Description

As a Conveyor Tender, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the conveyor system to ensure it runs smoothly and safely. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, load and unload materials, and address any operational issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

• Assess the condition of conveyor systems and report findings.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on conveyor equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers for material requirements.
• Utilize various tools and software platforms for monitoring.
• Support the development of standard operating procedures for conveyor use.
• Engage in continuous learning and development activities.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering beneficial

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with automated systems preferred

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time management

Certifications

• Forklift certification
• Experience with PLC programming desired

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• PLC programming experience: Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Experience with equipment installation: Hands-on experience with machinery installation.
