Occupational Therapist

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a passionate Occupational Therapist to enhance our patient care team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality therapeutic services to clients in Durban, helping them navigate their recovery journeys with compassion and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients' needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic goals.
• Implement therapy interventions to assist clients in achieving full participation in daily activities.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic processes and strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in staff training and development initiatives.
• Advocate for community resources and support for patients.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation
