Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a Mechanical Engineer to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be involved in designing and implementing mechanical systems and will play a key role in ensuring our projects meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from conception through to completion.
• Review designs for manufacturability and cost-effective approaches.
• Assist in the procurement of materials necessary for project execution.
• Work with clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
• Draft and maintain detailed project documentation for future reference.
• Facilitate project meetings to ensure transparency and communication among stakeholders.
• Coordinate with international engineering teams for cross-border projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical project management

Technical Skills

• Materials Science
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with HVAC Systems: Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Advanced Simulation Software Skills: Proficient in using software for simulating mechanical designs.
