Rabble Furnace Tender

Job Description

As a Rabble Furnace Tender, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our furnace systems. You'll ensure the rabble arm and furnace bed are in optimal condition while managing production efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and test furnace operations prior to production runs.
• Maintain records of furnace performance and document any anomalies.
• Actively participate in health and safety assessments.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding production status.
• Respond promptly to emergency shut-down procedures and respond to alarms.
• Foster a positive team environment focusing on quality control.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Experience in metallurgy is beneficial

Experience

• Previous experience in operational roles within a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
