Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud architecture and DevOps practices. You will help design and implement cloud-based solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective technology solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage cloud applications and services.
• Automate provisioning of cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Work closely with agility in both Dev and Ops to improve service delivery.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and strategies to mitigate downtimes.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of cloud environments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud-based projects

• Cloud Security

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
