We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying scalable cloud solutions, ensuring system resilience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable cloud solutions tailored to client needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud services and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud technologies.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers in cloud practices.
• Conduct regular reviews of system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data security.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Relevant certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cloud technologies

Technical Skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Python

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with serverless architectures: Understanding of how to implement solutions using serverless functions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams and environments.
