Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hydroelectric Operations Maintenance Worker who will take charge of the upkeep and repair of hydroelectric systems. Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on hydroelectric generation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Monitor water flows and reservoir levels.
  • Operate the hydroelectric plant during both normal and emergency situations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records related to maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certification in relevant fields is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in hydroelectric operations and maintenance
Technical Skills
  • Hydraulic systems maintenance
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Soft Skills
  • Physical fitness
  • Adaptability

Advantageous

  • Experience with electrical systems and controls: Knowledge of electrical systems relevant to hydro operations.
  • Experience with PLC programming: Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers in an industrial setting.
