Job Description

As a Social Worker Supervisor, you will oversee the social work team, ensuring that best practices are employed in supporting clients facing various social challenges. Your role will involve providing guidance, conducting assessments, and developing strategies to promote wellbeing within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the social work team in delivering effective support programs.
  • Monitor client progress and ensure follow-up on case plans.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Identify gaps in services and advocate for necessary resources.
  • Organize training sessions for staff on relevant policy changes.
  • Review and manage program budgets and resource allocations.
  • Report on team performance and client outcomes to higher management.
  • Champion best practices in social work methodologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or relevant field
  • Master's degree with focus on Community Development is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years in a supervisory capacity within the social work field
