Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will work closely with individuals and families to provide needed assessments, develop care plans, and connect clients with necessary services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the community and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client situations and develop effective interventions.
• Facilitate access to social services and educational resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to families.
• Work with community partners to coordinate services for clients.
• Educate clients about their rights and available services.
• Keep detailed records of client interactions and service outcomes.
• Engage in policy advocacy for underserved populations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community service or social work
