Job Description

We are in search of a Data Science Project Manager to lead our dynamic projects in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data science methodologies and project management, facilitating the successful execution and implementation of data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of analytics projects from inception to delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and success criteria.
• Ensure quality control over all aspects of data science projects.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
• Present project outcomes and insights to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external vendors and partners as necessary.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency within project workflows.
• Track and manage project resources and timelines effectively.
• Engage stakeholders regularly to ensure alignment and facilitate feedback.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and foster innovation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
• Master's degree in Data Science or a similar field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in managing data science projects.
