Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Safety Analyst to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of chemical safety regulations and experience in performing risk assessments and audits. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with health and safety standards while fostering a culture of safety awareness within the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate chemical processes and ensure safety standards are met.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives related to chemical safety.
• Act as a resource for employees on chemical safety practices.
• Document safety procedures and ensure they are communicated effectively.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment in the company.
• Coordinate with external agencies for regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in chemical safety and compliance roles
