Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in constructing, repairing, and installing cabinets and wooden furniture items. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship will directly influence the quality of our products.

Responsibilities

• Design and create custom cabinetry that meets client specifications.
• Inspect materials and products for quality assurance.
• Assist in selecting materials based on project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the manufacturing process.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Train and mentor junior woodworking apprentices where applicable.
• Implement best practices for woodworking and safety.
• Assist in the layout of woodworking shop and maintenance of cleanliness.
• Attend team meetings to discuss project progress and share ideas.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Woodworking or Carpentry is advantageous

Experience

• Experience with custom cabinetry and furniture making

Technical Skills

• Furniture Design Knowledge
• Machinery Proficiency

Languages

• English: Fluent
