Public Health Officer

Job Description

As a Public Health Officer in Durban, you will be pivotal in implementing community health programs, evaluating health initiatives, and addressing environmental health hazards. You will work closely with local health authorities to ensure effective health policies are in place.

Responsibilities

• Lead community health outreach initiatives and campaigns.
• Conduct epidemiological research to identify health trends.
• Advocate for health policies that promote public health standards.
• Ensure community resources are available for health education.
• Work with local governments to influence health policy implementation.
• Monitor health program budgets and resources effectively.
• Utilize data and research to inform public health decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or related field
