Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Accountant in Johannesburg, where you will play a crucial role in financial operations, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and audit preparations. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
• Create and maintain fixed asset register to track company assets.
• Assist in month-end closing processes and reporting activities.
• Prepare and file annual tax returns, handling queries from tax authorities.
• Evaluate and improve financial reporting systems for efficiency.
• Provide insights on financial management practices and compliance.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and employees.
• Support accounting clerks in daily financial activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate qualification or relevant certification is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in an accounting environment
