We are in search of a Tax Specialist to enhance our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of South African tax law, and the ability to develop effective tax strategies. Responsibilities include preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance, and offering strategic advice to clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for various clients to ensure compliance with local tax laws.
• Provide analysis of tax-related issues and offer strategic solutions to clients.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and apply relevant changes to client accounts.
• Assist clients with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Develop relationships with clients to provide ongoing tax advice.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting related to taxes.
• Train junior staff on tax compliance and effective tax management.
• Implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Taxation is advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years in a similar role within the taxation field
