Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our Port Elizabeth team. The role involves managing financial records, preparing monthly financial statements, and liaising with clients to ensure that their financial documents are accurate and up-to-date. An ideal candidate should have experience in accounting software and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure all financial discrepancies are addressed promptly.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist in the development of financial policies.
  • Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for audits.
  • Coordinate with bank representatives on client-related queries.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and the finance team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
Experience
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
