Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Web Content Editor to join our creative team in Durban. In this role, you'll be responsible for curating, editing, and publishing high-quality digital content that engages our audience. You'll collaborate closely with writers and designers to create compelling narratives that align with our brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Edit and refine articles to align with the publication’s style guide.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional efforts.
• Proofread content prior to publication to ensure accuracy.
• Engage in brainstorming sessions for new content ideas.
• Conduct interviews and gather insights from various contributors.
• Maintain an organized system for tracking content submissions and revisions.
• Evaluate competitors’ content strategies and suggest improvements.
• Create multimedia content when needed, including presentations and infographics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Media Studies or relevant field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in digital content editing or relevant experience

Technical Skills

• HTML/CSS
• Social Media Management

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in UX/UI Design: Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to enhance content layout.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Experience with design software to create graphics for articles.
