Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our creative team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing interiors for residential and commercial spaces. You will collaborate with clients to understand their needs and vision, develop concept designs, and oversee the implementation of your designs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely procurement of materials.
• Assist in developing marketing materials showcasing completed projects.
• Participate in design brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas.
• Implement sustainable design practices in all projects.
• Foster positive client relationships to encourage repeat business.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or similar field
• Professional certification in interior design is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• Space Planning
• Lighting Design

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• NCIDQ Certification
• LEED Accredited Professional (AP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in landscape design: Understanding of integrating indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Proficiency in using virtual reality software for design presentations: Ability to present designs using immersive technologies.
