Job Description

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and environmental needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
• Create adaptive strategies for daily living skills.
• Work closely with caregivers to provide training and support.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in treatment delivery.
• Conduct workshops on health promotion and wellness.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Research and implement new therapeutic activities.
• Support patients’ goals and motivate them to achieve independence.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical setting

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Pediatric Occupational Therapy: Experience working with children and understanding developmental milestones.
