Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Operations Consultant based in Pretoria. You will be responsible for executing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and enhancing payroll processes for our clients. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining employee satisfaction through accurate and timely payroll processing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and reporting.
  • Ensure that all payroll transactions are compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll tax returns and quarterly reports.
  • Provide support during audits and reconciliations.
  • Train and support junior payroll staff in best practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for payroll-related systems and technology.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate or diploma in payroll administration or similar qualification
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in payroll processing

  • SAGE Payroll
  • Tax Compliance Knowledge

Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with BEE compliance: Understanding of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) regulations.
