Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Help Desk Technician to join our IT support team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by troubleshooting technical issues, guiding users through problem resolution, and ensuring their technology-related concerns are addressed promptly. This role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent communication skills to effectively assist clients in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming support requests and ensure resolution within agreed timelines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of user interactions and problems.
  • Assist with the management of IT inventory and assets.
  • Proactively follow up with users to ensure complete problem resolution.
  • Contribute to the team by sharing tips and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and solutions.

Requirements

Education
  • Matriculation with relevant IT certifications
  • Diploma in Information Technology or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or service desk
