Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to safeguard our information systems and protect our digital assets from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity protocols, assisting in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Conduct penetration testing and risk analysis.
• Create and manage user access controls and permissions.
• Assist in the development of data encryption and protection protocols.
• Identify training needs and develop training materials on cybersecurity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance overall security posture.
• Evaluate third-party vendors’ security measures.
• Prepare reports for management on security incidents and responses.
• Maintain awareness of the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
• Draft policies and educate employees to promote safe cyber practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role

Technical Skills

• Threat analysis
• Firewalls and intrusion detection

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• CEH or CHFI certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in scripting languages: Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of SIEM tools: Experience with Security Information and Event Management tools.
