Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Actuary to join our Sandton office. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in actuarial science, data analysis, and statistical modeling. You will play a critical role in assessing risk and advising on insurance and financial policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial projects from inception to completion, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Facilitate workshops to educate teams on actuarial concepts and practices.
• Utilize predictive modeling to assess future financial scenarios.
• Develop models for data-driven decision-making and risk assessment.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Assist in strategic planning initiatives with a focus on actuarial considerations.
• Ensure that internal and external reporting meets industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

Certifications

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
