Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have expertise in environmental systems and sustainability practices, playing a key role in developing projects that promote environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the execution of environmental projects.
• Assess environmental risks associated with projects and provide recommendations.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Facilitate workshops and training on sustainable practices and policies.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, reports, and project progress.
• Develop key performance indicators to monitor environmental impacts.
• Support the development of grant proposals for environmental initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders on environmental matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or fieldwork
