We are seeking a Hospital Chaplain to offer spiritual guidance and emotional support to patients, their families, and staff members. Your role will be critical in providing comfort and counselling during challenging health journeys.
Responsibilities
Delivering spiritual support to patients in acute care settings.
Collaborating with both clinical and non-clinical staff to foster a healing environment.
Facilitating support groups and workshops for patients and families.
Documenting spiritual assessments and care plans.
Engaging with diverse religious and spiritual traditions.
Monitoring and responding to the spiritual needs of the patient population.
Providing crisis intervention and counselling services as needed.
Creating resources and tools to assist patients in expressing their spiritual concerns.
Actively participating in hospital committees focused on patient care.
Building relationships with community spiritual leaders for referrals.
Requirements
Education
Ordination or endorsement by a recognized religious or spiritual denomination
Experience
Experience working with diverse populations and cultures is advantageous
