Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will evaluate the risks involved in insuring clients and determine appropriate premium rates. You will collaborate with agents and clients to modify coverage options and negotiate terms for coverage that suits both parties.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for potential clients.
  • Engage with clients to gather relevant information for decision making.
  • Draft and present recommendations for underwriting approval.
  • Implement underwriting policies and procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor ongoing risk and adjust policies accordingly as clients' situations evolve.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certification in underwriting is an advantage
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or related field
