Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner to join our vibrant medical team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care while being committed to diagnosing and treating a variety of health issues.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients to ascertain their health status.
• Provide appropriate medical interventions and treatments.
• Create detailed patient care plans based on individual assessments.
• Interpret results from laboratory tests and X-rays.
• Advise patients on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Ensure all patient data is logged in compliance with regulations.
• Engage with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care.
• Participate in continuing medical education programs.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent qualification recognized by HPCSA
• Specialist registration is advantageous

Experience

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a General Practitioner

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic reasoning
• Emergency care

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with telemedicine: Familiarity with virtual consultations and remote patient monitoring.
• Fluency in Afrikaans or Zulu: Ability to communicate effectively with a broader patient demographic.
