Radiology Technician (Radiologic Technologists and Technicians)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Radiology Technician to join our radiology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment, capturing high-quality images, and assisting radiologists and physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This position requires a keen attention to detail, proficiency in handling various imaging modalities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Capture and process diagnostic images as per established protocols.
• Assist physicians and radiologists in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Conduct quality assurance tests on imaging equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
• Educate patients on the procedures and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Participate in staff meetings and continued education workshops.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and service delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace and imaging equipment.
• Review records and logs for accuracy and completeness.
• Implement improvements to workflow and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging

Experience

• Experience in specialized imaging modalities such as CT or MRI is preferred.

Technical Skills

• MRI and CT Imaging

Certifications

• Advanced Certification in Radiologic Technology

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of radiation therapy procedures: Understanding of radiation therapy procedures and protocols.
