Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Wood Pole Treater to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for treating wooden poles to enhance their durability against environmental elements. This role demands technical expertise in wood preservation and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Effectively treat wood poles, utilizing the correct chemicals and methods for preservation.
• Inspect treated wood for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
• Assist in training new team members on procedures and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance on treatment machinery.
• Work closely with the production team to optimize processing operations.
• Keep accurate records of chemical usage and treatment activities.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant certification in wood treatment or similar field is advantageous

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in wood treatment or a related field.
