Join our team as an Electrical Design Engineer in Durban, where you will apply your technical skills in electrical design to contribute to innovative engineering projects. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions that meet industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design efforts for new projects.
• Coordinate efforts with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform inspections and testing of electrical installations.
• Analyze data to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Facilitate training sessions for junior engineers.
• Implement energy-efficient solutions in designs.
• Monitor projects to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Respond to technical inquiries from clients and team members.
• Document project progress and report to management.
• Provide mentorship to interns and new hires.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in electrical design roles

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks
• Electrical Codes and Standards

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with energy efficiency audits: Hands-on experience conducting energy audits for projects.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS): Experience with integrating and managing building automation systems.
