Char Conveyor Tender

Job Description

As a Char Conveyor Tender, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain conveyor systems in our coal-fired power plant efficiently. You will ensure the safe transportation of materials, monitor system performance, and perform routine repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate conveyor systems efficiently during material handling.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Conduct inspections to ensure operational integrity.
• Troubleshoot minor issues as they arise to avoid downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist in loading and unloading of materials as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with the production and maintenance teams.
• Keep accurate records of all activities, issues, and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Trade certification as a conveyor tender or similar

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a conveyor tender or similar role.
