Job Description

Looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Identify and resolve equipment failures swiftly to ensure operational continuity.
• Document all maintenance activities and repairs conducted.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers for parts and repair services.
• Train and mentor junior staff on maintenance tasks and safety protocols.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
• Monitor inventory levels of essential maintenance supplies.
• Assist in project work relating to equipment upgrades or installations.
• Liaise with managers to report on maintenance activities and requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Trade certification is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical maintenance roles.
