Band Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Band Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining band saw machines. Your attention to detail will ensure that materials are cut to precise specifications, contributing to our production targets and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and calibrate equipment as required for different materials.
• Monitor machinery during operation for any issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production and quality improvements.
• Provide feedback on machinery performance and assist in troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies regarding safety and quality.
• Provide support in other production areas as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant technical qualification in engineering or manufacturing is advantageous

Experience

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Basic understanding of engineering principles

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to quality control

Advantageous

• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and specifications: Ability to interpret technical documents related to production.
• Experience with different types of materials such as wood, metal, and plastic: Diverse material handling skills.
