Job Description

The Drug Department Worker will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medication to patients and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in the healthcare setting. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense medications to patients with attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals regarding medication management.
  • Process insurance claims and provide customer service to patients.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply ordering.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
  • Remain compliant with all pharmacy practices and procedures.
  • Assist with pharmacy clean-up and organization activities.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to enhance the quality of service.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
