We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team at Animal Care Clinic in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animal care and a commitment to delivering exceptional veterinary services.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health checks on pets.
• Manage outpatient care and follow-up appointments.
• Assist in training junior staff and interns.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Promote clinic services and maintain client relationships.
• Participate in community events and veterinary health fairs.
• Review and interpret laboratory test results.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc or equivalent qualification in Veterinary Medicine
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council is essential

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in veterinary practice is preferred

• Anaesthesia management

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Certification
