Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Technician in Cape Town to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a passion for technology and a knack for solving problems, providing top-notch technical support to our clients while maintaining IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Handle user support tickets from inception to resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning IT equipment.
  • Assist in creating and updating user documentation and guides.
  • Collaborate on IT projects as needed for service improvement.
  • Maintain records and documentation of IT support activities.
  • Support the management of user accounts and permissions.
  • Educate users about security best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant IT Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified)
  • Degree in Computer Science is an advantage
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a helpdesk or support role
Technical Skills
  • Linux Operating Systems

  • Time Management
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell): Ability to automate tasks with scripting languages.
