Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Johannesburg office. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations.
• Oversee the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Implement accounting software and improve financial processes.
• Prepare financial forecasts and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Respond to financial inquiries from management and clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Postgraduate qualification in Accounting is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a corporate environment
